I did. it's on the front seat, holds 6 muffins or 4 croissants. I always thought it was called a breadbox though...
Seriously, i did wonder about doing it, but if I'm really going to serioulsly track this car somewhere that I need a cage, it'll need to go on a diet to the tune of ripping out half the interior. Is there a reason that you had in mind? Just my $.02. |

Buy an E93 instead. It has TWO on-demand pop-up roll bars behind the back seat.

Why? You wouldn't need to unless you are tracking the car heavily and actually is required.
I see some kids out there thinking the roll cage idea would be cool and buy those roll cage kits that aren't even legal on the tracks, heh. |

It seems strange to buy a luxury car to use primarily for tracking. Buy an old e30 or e36 M3, strap a cage in that and have a great time tearing up the track (and saving thousands of dollars).

x2...putting a role cage on is a stupid idea. Save your money and buy a real track car OR track your car in stock form.

If you want a real track car you start with an M car, like an M Coupe or M3.

in 5 years people will be talking about the E92 as a great car to buy used as a track car... of course once they figure out the overheating issues
