Fender trim...

I noticed in this video that this 22 M240iXdrive had color matched fender flares, were these ONLY available in 22? Was this excluded from certain trim models?

Thanks,
ValT.

I’m not sure, I’m new to the G42, I was over with the 3ers before the Thundernight came

Not quite true.
In the UK, you can order the 893 wheels and the flares are added. The larger brakes, extra rads etc is an additional option.
You can’t have the brakes and rads without the wheels but you can have wheels without the other stuff.

"Cooling & High-Performance (HP) Tire Package". Quite a mouthful I prefer ZTK package myself .

I have the ZTK package and it seems that the fender flares come with the enlarged wheels that come standard with the ZTK package. They are actually just gigantic plastic stickers that are mounted with giant strips of 3M automotive mounting tape. They are kind of like the puny spoiler sticker that comes standard with the new G42.

Yes, the ZTK package in the U.S. gives you the unique wheels, larger calipers, larger rotors, oil cooler, hp summer tires, and the fender flares; BMW documented very little info on this package and we on the forum had to kind of figure it out by comparing a ZTK car to non-ZTK car. Other countries may offer these components differently, as Pentland mentioned.

Had to look it up to remember how they packaged it here in Canada.

M Enhanced Track Package ($3500)
-19" M Lt/Aly Wheels, Double-Spoke, 893M, Jet Black, Burnished
-High Perf. Non-RFT
-Adaptive M Suspension
-M Technology Package

M Technology Package
-With the M Technology Pack the increased heat capacity of the braking and cooling systems guarantee a long-lasting high performance under extreme driving conditions (similar to motorsport) (especially in conjunction with high outside temperatures). Includes upgrades for the drive train cooling system and the M Sport brakes.

The fender flare additions aren't mentioned anywhere on the build site, that I can see.

I'm not sure if all countries need them. I know in the U.S. there is a regulation where the wheels cannot exceed the fender width. The fender flares add on 1/4" or so of needed fender width for the 893m wheels.

Clarifying that we do get them in Canada with that package, but they don't seem to mention that these 'stickers' are a feature of the package.

You’d have to order the OEM parts individually then have a body shop paint and install them.

The other thing not mentioned for our US compadres is I’m led to understand their cars are limited to ~130mph if the high performance tyres are not fitted

Just need non-run flats to not have the limiter in the U.S.

You just need performance summer tires, run flat or not.
