N54 335i crank no start - bad DME maybe ?
This is my first post ever so just Bear with me.
I have 08 335i n54 with FBO MSD80 -DCI -charge pipe -5in intercooler -downpipes -MHD stage 2+ on 93 After doing my downpipes which was the last step. I flashed my car to stage 2+ It was completely fine until one day the car just died on me while going 40 mph. Second after it started back up as it was still rolling. Few days after that the car would have a hard time starting and the moment i put it in drive it would die on me. Now I’m getting crank no start. Here are the codes: - ME active codes - 2ABC - DME: Boost-pressure sensor, electric. 2C3F - DME: Oxygen sensor before catalytic converter: Signal lines. 2C40 - DME: Oxygen sensor 2 before catalytic converter: Signal lines. 2C9D - DME: Oxygen sensor heater 2 before catalytic converter: Activation. 2D58 - DME: DME, internal fault: monitoring, nominal torque. 2D67 - DME: DME, internal fault: monitoring, processors. 2E84 - BSD, message; electric coolant pump: Missing. 2EEO - DME: Coolant temperature sensor, signal. 2EE2 - DME: Coolant temperature sensor, plausibility: signal constant. 3100 - DME: Boost-pressure control, deactivation. Can someone point me into the right direction. I’ve been told it’s a bad DME, i just don’t want to waste time since i only have Saturday and Sunday to work on it |

Ok, so then first inspect the engine harness. I would start with coolant pump. Often when leaks on the seem between the metal and plastic housing coolant gets into the connector. MSD81 aren’t very expensive. You can get a set: dme, cas and key fob for $400. If harness checks out try MSD81. No need to code anything or clone it. Engine will start and run without. If that fixes it then you can code and clone. If not post them for same and continue troubleshooting

There is a fuse behind glove compartment for the ignition. If shorted by issue with harness engine will crank but won't start. No codes for this. Also, when dme is bad usually ends up with 30ba and 30bb fault. So probably something is just triggering the dme not to start the engine to prevent damage I Think.
