Just ordered my first ever new car, M240i xDrive in Thundernight! The configurator is still MY22 on the website but I assumed the red calipers would be optional as it was on the MY22. Dealer sent me the build sheet and it seems that Red Calipers are forced with the addition of the Shadowline Package and there are no options for anything else, pretty upset about it since I was hoping to get the Blue Calipers to match the Blue Stitched Interior.

Aside from that, has anyone here done Xpel Stealth on thundernight? Curious on how it would look matte, I've seen the BSM someone posted in Matte and it looks sick.

Oddly enough by sales associate is pushing red calipers. So, it must be a thing?

I personally paid to get the red breaks over a Thundernight metallic with shadow line package and do not regret a minute. I also have the black leather interior with blue stitching and get compliment every weeks about the car. For the xpel stealth I have seen a picture of someone who did it here and personally did not like it.

When looking at the cars in TN with blue and with red calipers side by side. My eyes always go straight to the red calipers VS the blue flowing much better with the TN.

My TN is with the blue callipers I had the red on most cars and wanted something different this time. I think they both look good but IMO the blue is the BMW signature colour bit like how my FocusRS had that lighter blue but Brembo lettering

MY TN is with the red because I had the blue on previous car. I love the way it looks, but agree the blue looks sharp also !!

I like that red stands out, especially with the bigger ZTK calipers.

It's that way with the 2023 3 Series and 4 Series too, not just the 2 Series. Once you order the night package you get the red calipers.

We ordered a white with red interior so it we wanted the red so it worked. I just picked up a white M440i GC last month with the black/blue interior and had blue calipers so I understand why you'd want it that way, but the red will look good with the TN.
