M850i with Goodyear Eagle runflats in winter

As the topic says, M850i came with Goodyear Eagle run flats . The warranty info on these "Max Performance Summer Tires" states "ultra high-performance summer tires are not recommended for winter use, and tread or shoulder cracking on those tires resulting from winter use will not be covered under our warranty," so like all summer tires, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 is not intended to be stored, serviced or driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice."
I live in NE Ohio. Car I am purchasing has these tires as stock. I've discussed changing the tires with the dealer for Michelin Pilot all season but they state the car will no longer be certified pre-owned as it will be out of spec.
Anyone else run into this situation? Are these tires really that damaged in cold weather? If it's true that all Max Performance Summer tires are not intended for cold or Winter weather then all the M cars on the lot are similarly constrained.
Has anyone had a tire warranty denied because of "cold weather' use?

Thanks for any information.

LOL dealership's pull all sorts of BS answers all the time but this is truly a new one. That's a complete load of garbage, they just don't want to do it. They may be under no obligation to switch them but I wouldn't run summers all winter. Just sell them and get the all seasons you like OR get a second set of wheels with winter tires.
