Largest Brake Rotors with 16" Rims

My 2007 328xi E90 has the smallest front rotors (300 x 24 ) of any of the E90s. I would like to increase my front rotor size, but I am limited to 16" rims based on my winter tire/rim choice. What is the largest brake rotor+caliper combination people have fitted under a 16" rim?

For reference the 2008 328xi runs 312 x 24 rotors and the 2005 330xi runs 325 x 25??? rotors, and the 2006 runs 330 x 24 rotors.

If I increase rotor size, I presume I also need to replace the calipers or are the hubs different to accommodate the larger rotors?

I am prepared to play with spacers and some delicate shaving of calipers.

312mm is the largest factory set up on 16" as far as I know.

The 2005 330xi is an E46

Thanks Nightman. That was what my research was suggesting also. I did some cross-referencing on RealOEM and it looks like the hubs on the 328 are all the same, but Caliper, Caliper Carrier, and Disc are different with the larger rotors. This would mean a significant cost to get an extra 12 mm of diametre.

My real goal is to mount 4 pot calipers which I really liked on my last car. I have a pair of 4 pot Brembos from the Cobalt SS and I may see if there is a way to mount them to the BMW hub.

My other option may be to use a Wildwood caliper paired with one of their 2 piece rotors. This would achieve a weight savings which is another objective. There is a "Drag" brake option shown on the ECS Site by a company called VTT which suggests options are available using Wildwood components that will fit a wheel as small as 15". Wilwood make a 12.19" x 0.81" (309.6 x 20.5mm) suggesting a possible fit inside a BMW 16" wheel.
