N55 PureTurbos Intake Inlet pipe
Hey all -
With great anticipation, the inlet pipes have finally arrived. We will be installing and testing over the next month or so. Our biggest issue here is the climate but temps have been OK lately so maybe we'll get some data and dyno results by spring! Inlet's for the N54 just exposed an additional ~90HP; although not apples to apples i think this may show some justice Last edited by iuhutch; 01-26-2015 at 05:20 PM.. Reason: Edited attachments |

Also thanks for the heads up on the Oe inlet gasket seal for the none o ring side of the pure inlet. I think Jesse mentioned that too and I missed it |

Can't wait to see the results on these. With any luck we'll see serious increase like on the N54.
Imagine 450-460whp with just stage 1 and maybe 500whp with stage 2. Of course it's all skepticism |

How does an inlet pipe add that much power? Either way subscribed!

Looking forward to the results on these. If I get my hands on upgraded F series inlet I gladly test as well

i wish someone would make the charge pipe that connects from the turbo to the intercooler, that is the only plastic part left between my turbo and throttle body. it looks very restrictive from what i could see when i removed it while installing my intercooler.
keep us up to date on this pipe though, depending on your review to determine if i get this or not. |

Hutch could you measure the diameter of the stock inlet opening vs the pure inlet opening (eg where it connects to the turbo compressor housing) ? I am interested in how much bigger it is. Thanks a ton! |

i have that pipe, it is the one on the driver side that goes from the intercooler to the charge pipe. the one i was wondering if anyone made was the pipe on the passenger side that goes from the turbo to the intercooler. when i took it off it was about 9-12" long and in the middle it is like it is squished to make it fit. it looks to be made out of the same material as the stock charge pipe. (some kind of plastic)
if someone could make a high flowing metal charge pipe to replace that i would be very interested. it connects to the turbo pretty much how the orignal charge pipe connects to the throttle body, with the little metal clip. |

yeah man check it out and let me know what you think. you should take a couple pictures while you have it out too so everyone can see (i should have done that). I dont know if you would be able to weld up anything to replace it seeing on how the end that goes into the turbo has a special fitting for the metal bracket kinda like the charge pipes for the throttle body.
