ok here is my first world problem, anyone have any suggestions

- I have carplay activated and I use Waze (so don't want to disable carplay as a solution)
- I have a 2.5 hour commute so typically listen to the radio for a while then switch over to Sirius XM
- iDrive buffers about an hour of the Sirius XM channel you are on so I typically use the jump back to get to the beginning of the buffer then use jump forward to skip boring segments etc
- however, if i get a text message the Sirius XM channel skips to live playback; i can of course jump back but if the segment i was listening to was 20 minutes long i can only jump back to the start of the segment not where i left off when the text message came in

a couple of generations ago idrive had true ff and rewind but that seems to have disappeared and you can only go from segment to segment.

This is one of those use cases that was Edge enough no one tested it for this sort of bug. Sure it is annoying but I doubt it gets addressed.

yeah that's what i'm afraid of, was just hoping maybe someone had a workaround but it is such a corner case as you point out
