brake question

My 2022 M240i xdrive has about 19k miles on it and recently needed the rear brakes pads replaced. Luckily I paid for the extra warranty when I bought the car so it didn't cost me anything. I asked them to check the front brakes too, since I figured they must be getting close too, but the tech said they had about 60% of their pad left. It seems a bit odd to me that the rears would wear out so much faster than the fronts. Just curious if anyone has thoughts on this? Thanks!

My rears are worn a bit more than the fronts, however I do track this car and for the first few events I had some of the nanny controls on. No nannies now, much faster and don't smell the brakes.

I haven't been able to track mine yet but plan to. That's part of why I paid extra for the warranty that covers brakes too.

I'm also using track pads, Endless and they are endless in wear and great track pad. However they just had a huge price increase. I did run stock pads at first and was impressed with them. Once these wear our I might go back to stock pads and buy from Turner or FCP Euro that gives us a lifetime warranty.
