incentives?
Anyone's dealer not wanting to do the incentives on BMW USA website like 0.9% financing?
I already had a deposit down before they said it was for participating dealers only. Last edited by kumizi206; 10-10-2021 at 04:26 AM.. |

So if there's an incentive that's only available when financing, then I will pay off the loan a week after I take delivery. (Dealer gets a charge back if the loan is not kept for a certain period. My dealer mentioned they get charged back if the loan is paid off within 4 months). I tell them if they're not willing to give me the advertised rate on their web site (not BMWUSA but the local dealer's site) then I will just pay it off a week later. I have never had any issue with any MB dealer honoring special finance rates though. |

Thanks for the response. That's odd behavior. Never bought a new BMW before but havent seen that with other luxury brands.
I signed, dated, and submitted a build sheet at MSRP on October 8th. I just got another email today that quotes $600 for an appearance package and $400 for tint. I swear they're just trying to piss me off now. Car dealers are the scummiest people. |

When I bought my M2C in August, the dealer tried not to honor the 0.9%. I pushed back hard and they caved and honored the 0.9%.
It is true about the 4 month period of loan payoff. They don't get their spiff if you pay off the loan quickly. Too bad for them I sold my M2C two months later a couple weeks ago. lol serves them right, they don't deserve their financing spiff anyway. |

Better is subjective, it's about what the individual's needs are. For some a non M car is better for their needs and vice versa.

I was spending $20 a day on gas just for my work commute. (M240i should be slightly better, maybe 1/3rd better). Had a C8 allocation which always had me second guessing the decision for the M2C. But now I'm also over the C8 and canceled my allocation today as well for that. I didn't care for how anal I was about keeping the M2C in good condition (paint etc). It was stressing me out and with young kids it was a constant stressor for me. I don't think I'll be as anal about the M240i because its not as collectible etc. My M2C actually had a perceived issue that BMW couldn't figure out or fix, had spent a couple visits trying to diagnose (in shop for over a week). They could replicate the issue, but couldn't figure it out. I really didn't want to continually deal with that. With the car market the way it is, I basically was able to get out of the car at a loss of only $2K. So, I got driving the M2C out of my system and will now get into something a little more practical and easy to drive. Also, the M240i is a planned temporary replacement. Long term, I will go full electric, probably late next year or in 2023. I'm a car guy and like trying out different cars. Expensive "hobby" but its just how I roll. Hell, this afternoon I'm going to drive the new Mazda EV as well. We'll see how that goes. |

Thanks for sharing. I can see why you made that choice.
My wife and I don't have kids, and she can drive a stick so Im planning to get the new M2. I consider myself a car guy too, but I tend to have a problem with holding on to my toys (91 Mustang GT, 93 SVT Lightning, 13 Boxster) once I get attached. ITs been nearly 20 years since I've purchased a vehicle with an automatic and the M240 will break that streak, I guess its my first step towards accepting the future.
