Glad that worked for you. Now you can obsessively check several times an hour

That did the trick! I figured there was something I was missing.
And after all of that...there's no production date showing for me on the page. Ha. This is what i see. overHeadLongMessage: "The factory has scheduled production of your unique BMW." overHeadMessage: "Scheduled for production" overHeadMessageSequence: "1" prodDate: "" |

I did the developer check thing as well:
overHeadMessageSequence: "0" prodDate: "" Reading around, prodDate = date when production is completed; typically how long does it take from there to keys in hand? |

I drove two cars with iDrive 8 this last weekend and I love it. It took me maybe 5 minutes of poking around to really have things down. And after that, I'm mostly going to use voice controls so it's great in my mind.

Has anyone put down deposits at multiple dealers and gotten a refund when you secure an allocation? Not sure if that’s frowned upon, but I’m wondering if I’d be better off going to one of the larger dealers with a longer wait list because they’ll get more allocations. But I also don’t want to lose my place in line at my current place.

I'd be careful with that. My dealership told me it was non-refundable. I had them insert a clause that stated if the interest rate was too high I'd be able to walk away and get my money back. About the only thing my dealership has done well for me is that they traded with another dealership for an M240i allocation as the other dealership needed an allocation that they had. |

I mean if you can put in a "get out of jail free" clause and be able to recoup your cash do it. It's not illegal, and at this point not even immoral, that car no matter how you spec it out will sell! How many M240i's have you seen on the lot? I was just more referring to "cover YOUR ass", not the dealerships Tell your dude that you're enjoying that you're shopping around, if he can trade for a M240i allocation and get his commission he'll do it. |
