Exclamation Please take action - Potentially deadly TAKATA driver's airbag in Australian E90/E92

Hi, with the recent news about potentially deadly airbags made by TAKATA, found in many different car models, I found that the E90 / E92 models are listed on the American recall, but not listed on the Australian recall.

Today I inspected the back of my driver's airbag on my Australian E92 M3 year 2012, and guess what: It also has an airbag made by TAKATA.
I took a photo of the yellow label with manufacturer's name on it. Will try to upload image shortly.
Suggest E90 / E92 owners should contact BMW and demand recall replacement with a different brand of Airbag. (For example TRW, not TAKATA).

Cheers,

My understanding was that its not all TAKATA airbags that have the "shrapnel" issue, and that most car manufacturers replaced the faulty airbags with TAKATA airbags that didn't have the issue, with a couple of manufacturers having to do it twice due to replacing faulty airbags with faulty airbags...

If our cars aren't on the australian safety list it's likely our airbags haven't been identified as faulty, interesting that the US models are on the list though....

Is there a year spread on the US list? or is it all e9x?
