Starcraft 2 Beta (now with Screen Shots)
I had deleted all my posts thinking they had perhaps breached the EULA by giving descriptions of the game. However, Blizzard had posted on their forums:
We’re pleased to announce that we have decided to lift the confidential nature of the StarCraft: II Beta Test. This means that beta testers are free to show and discuss the game with your friends, as well as take screenshots, record gameplay videos, etc. So feel free to share that amazing game you just played. Enjoy! So, I've cleaned up all my posts, and posted pictures. Videos start on Page 2, about halfway down. This is Battle.net 2.0 This is looking for game: Some hot Terran on Zerg Action Protoss Protoss Nexus Using Chrono Boost to speed up production of Carriers. You can also use Chrono Boost on your Forge or Cybernetics Core, or whatever, to speed up upgrade progress. Mothership Escorted by Carriers. Notice not only are units around the Mothership cloaked, but also buildings:

Waaaant! Still play a good game of SC1 every now & then.
Do the classes still seem similar to the last game, whereas Zerg primarily quick to breed but weak, Protoss slow to build but strong, and Terran somewhere inbetween? Oh, and why does the game hurt your eyes?

That was the thing that ticked me off most about Zerg on Battle.net, that guys would hatch a bunch of zerglings and swarm your base before you had a chance to get more than 1 or 2 soldiers built. No way your 2 soldiers were taking out 15 of those zerglings.
I like that you can give multiple chain-orders. That will be convenient. I'm sure this beta is going to chew out a lot of the areas where enemies are uneven. Interesting changes being made to Battle.net. You can then have multiple players under each username then? So Username.Killer and Username.T0t4ln008 can both be on the same account... then you can create new players to battle newbs but still have reference to the higher level account er...?

Zerg Nydus Worm shown in the middle of the screen (that's the entrance, so is that it's @$$?):
This is what it looks like when it breaches the surface somewhere else: The way it works is, it can breach anywhere there's creep. Overlords, after you've upgraded to a Lair (tier 2) can crap out Creep. So, you sneak to an enemies base with your Overlord, let it start crapping Creep, and make your Nydus Exit. The results, very close to whatever mineral gatherers they have: and when you're done and don't want to fight their guys, you just enter, and exit back at your base. You can also use this by following your ally (if in multiplayer, in this case, I'm blue, ally is red, and we had teal and purple as enemies) with an Overlord while keeping all your stuff at your base. When he gets into trouble, start crapping Creep, and make your Nydus Worm Exit and deploy your units instantly. He actually didn't need help here...those Colosi (Colossuses?), are Protoss AoE, other than Psionic Storm from a High Templar. Teal, the one saying "Not the Alamo!" only had basic units, and the AoE would've just torn through all of them.

You can't really tell in this pic, but those flying units are called Brood Lords. They're made off of Corrupters (first you make a Corrupter, then have it cocoon into a Brood Lord). The little tiny units on the ground (in front of the Hydralisks) are Broodlings.
The Brood Lords are kind of like Guardians from Starcraft 1. They can't attack air units, and they have long range ground attack. However, that ground attack isn't a projectile, rather, it's spitting Broodlings out which then attack (you can control as well). They have a very short life span, and I'm sure this is something that will get patched; they physically block ground to air from getting close to the Brood Lords. If you get enough of them, and your opponent has no Air-to-Air, you win! It needs to be patched so that someone can move through the Broodlings, or just give them a long range projectile attack. Ground to Air can't do anything to Brood Lords.

Protoss Warpgate:
The way these work, is anywhere you have Pylon Power, you can have your units created there...no longer do they just come from your buildings, they can just materialize. Asking my ally to activate his Sentry's shield. Sentry's are units that have a weak attack, but can create a shield bolstering your Plasma Shields and giving +2 armor. We're finishing off Red's base here. He has a Planetary Defense Fortress, an upgrade to a Terran Command Center. It's actually pretty powerful, and drove off our initial Zealot rush. Not being shown in this picture, but another cool ability of the Sentry is to create false barriers. You can trap enemies, make them go around the barrier, or keep enemies out of your base for a while. The large white squares on the above pic's Mini-Map are Xel'Naga Towers. They don't do much...other than reveal a large portion of the map while you have a unit standing next to it.
