oil sensor reset on high mileage n52
Problem is the cbs reset will not reset back to 100%.
I am using ista+ on my 2006 bmw 325i My sensor works, it shows me accurate oil level and says to add a quart when it goes too low. but the cbs reset will not work. I currently have zero codes on my e90. I have been through all of the ista troubleshooting and test plan modules. It will say sometimes to replace oil sensor, which i have done with a bmw original but it still does the same thing, It will also say that the dme is not encoded but it is. Those are just suggestions it gives to check. I cant remember how i got to it before but one day it showed me an answer saying that it was because the car has over 300,000 km. not the picture, it was a different message. im good with coding, programming, and mechanically inclined but this one just has me stumped. Im sure its an easy fix but just not sure which route to take on it and hoping someone else has dealt with it before and can shed some light on it for me and others who will no doubt face this same issue one day. Thanks for any suggestions or solutions. |

If you have over 186k miles then yes the CBS stops calculating oil change interval. Search posts from Efthreeoh using keyword CBS. He was the first one who discovered this having racked up loads of miles in an '06, confirmed by BMW.
