Incorrect FSC Code Help

Patched the CIC and used FSTool to sign and install the certs after I did a cic retrofit. I did get errors at first but they were related to parameters not being filled correctly and installed the 1b and 19 certs successfully to enable update and navigation feature. After rebooting the cic with ncs expert default coding the nav asks for a code but it says incorrect. when I got from the FSC generator with the 1b file I got from the FSC generator. It's a lifetime code but it won't work. Any clues why its wrong?

Just to clarify, your wording does not make sense. The file you use as input to the Jaeger generator is a file you get from the CIC itself. After you insert a fat32 formatted USB stick with the patcher program it will write the 1B file to the USB stick. It may take a few tries, at least it did for me.

The activation code for Nav is not created from any other files, the 1B file has to come from your car.

No worries I got it sorted out with Dr.Gini!

Update:

Looks like the navigation greyed out and the connected drive disappeared. Perphaps I did the wrong procedure with Dr.Gini? When I did the USB patch I did get a 1b file and was able to generate a code with the FSC generator BUT the headunit did not reboot? Is there a way to virginise the CIC HU?

It sounds like you don't have the correct firmware level in the CIC. The patcher is claimed to only work with C1A firmware or later. The patcher will virginize the CIC if used correctly. I have heard NCSDummy is a good tool to find firmware level of CIC, though I have not tried that, as both of mine did a reboot with the red screen.

Okay, looks like I got this sorted out hopefully. Uninstalled all the apps related to BMW excluding ISTA. Then I installed BMW Standard Tools which gave me a whole suite of tools (NCS Expert, NCS Dummy, INPA, CIC Mafia, FSC Tools 2.18, FSTools 2.02.00, WinKFP, and etc) in 1 shot. It gave me DrGini B022 and B014 which I uninstalled and then installed B021.

I reconfigured the ediabas to accept my THOR wifi adapter. Checked the FSC files and oh boy the 7 digit Vin number had an incorrect number in the 5th digit. So I fixed all the VIN numbers in all the FSC files: 1B, 17, 19, 6F, 9C, 9B and signed them with FSTools 2.02.00 and checked them. Then I ran the install procedure for each FSC file and I was successful. I was able to check the status with FSCTools 2.18. Every FSC was accepted. Reset the CIC and I got back the options.

Then I was able to activate navigation with DrGini B021. Let the car sleep overnight came back and I did it right. I still have the navigation and connected drive and my FSC checks are green.

Now for the connected drive do I need a BMW official cable to use iPhone 15? When I use a cable of my own the phone charges but does display anything in CIC as the USB section says not connected. Bluetooth works fine but I want to use spotify with BMW Apps. Do I need the BMW Connected Classic to activate BMW Apps?
