David.. Got the 17x9 et 30 concaves mounted on my E90. Just for info purposes, what reccomended alignment settings are good for these rims with a 255/40-17 tire for good handling, tire wear and clearance with stock suspension?

The 17x9" ET30 with a 255/40/17 street tire would actually work with the OEM alignment specifications, though we do recommend for you to pull the alignment pins to maximize the negative camber in the front with the OEM suspension so that you can gain more fender clearance and the reap the handling benefits of negative camber such as sharper turn in. OEM alignment specifications would be the most ideal for elongating tire wear.

Here's my set up until I can get a proper shoot.
225/40/18 (rolled fronts) 18x9.5 ET 35 and 3mm spacer (+32)
265/35/18 (shaved rears) 18x10.5 ET 27 and 10mm spacer (+17)
On coilovers, fenders are raised just right above the tires.

The car looks great, thank you for sharing with us Route 16. What kind of coilovers are you using?

Suspension technique. I was wondering if these and kw1 have fitment issues because the fronts needed at least a 3mm spacer to avoid the wheel hitting the strut at 9.5 ET 35. No issues since.

We recommend at least a 5mm spacer for the 18x9.5" ET35 wheel to fit on the front of an e9x 3-series regardless of the suspension, as the wider wheel hits the struts with that offset even in stock form. Good to know that the 5mm spacer resolved your issue with your ST coilovers.

A 3mm spacer works fine since I'm using that right now.

Garage List
I have a dilemma...

I have my stock 17" wheels in the garage with brand new BFG G Force Comp 2 235/40/18 tires on them. I like the meat look and now that I have some V3's on the car along with some camber plates I'm curious about a 17" set of ARC 8.

When I see these sick e90s with the beef/meat look (side wall thick) I just love the look. Would the above mentioned tires allow that look in some 17's??

I am currently running some 18x8 and 18x8.5 CSL reps with 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 DW's.

Would I be better off getting 18 ARC 8s and using the DW's or run 17's with my squared BFG 235/40/18??

Torn.... 99% of the time I'm daily driving and enjoy the 18" wheels and staggered look...especially with the 265 rears.

Any advice or opinions would be appreciated. .

Coulple pics....

If you are looking to reuse your tires, the 235/40/17 BFG G Force comp tires can be used with the 17x8.5" ET40 flat faced ARC-8 squared, which would need a spacer in the rear. You can use it with the 17x9 ET30 concave ARC-8 squared as well, but the tires would be a bit undersized and a little stretched on a 9" wide wheel. We usually recommend at least a 245/40/17 on a 9" width.

Your 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 Continental DW's can be used with our ARC-8's in the 18x8.5" ET38 and 18x9.5" ET35, or EC-7's in 18x8.5" ET35 and 18x9.5" ET35. Both of these wheel sets are direct fitment for your e90, and would not require any spacers, nor would the tires be undersized and stretched. If you are looking for the best match for your current tires that you have, this would be the better option of you.

We are expecting to restock the Hyper Black 17x9" ET30 ARC-8's at the end of this month or beginning of June.

Sending you a PM. The only 18x9" ARC-8 wheel we carry is in 18x9" ET42, so you'd need an 18mm spacer to get close to the specification you want. We do have the 18x9" ET31 EC-7 available which is a closer fitment to what you desire.

What do you think about 255/35/18 on the 18x8.5 rim? I know that's oe size but I want to run them in the fronts.
