Question Where to buy PERFORMANCE BMW parts?

Hi all

quick question

where do you lot buy your performance bmw parts?

My local dealership are not very helpful and I'd rather my hard earned deniros go to someone who deserves them.

I'm looking for a performance bmw brake kit and brake upgrade from another bmw model.

TIA

Either a main dealer (Harry Fairbairn give £15% discount on parts through another forum) or Leebmann24

I have read your thread but as I've never had any issues with them I will continue to use them.

Same reason I don't just use people on eBay with 100% feedback.

I never had an issue with them having bought my Alpine upgrade kit, blackline rear lights, spoilers and loads of other things! The buying process is great and prices are attractive enough to tempt you into buying from them, but lets hope you don't have to return anything to them, as you will hit the same wall i did!!!

I guess the issue is you've never had a problem...

Its a common thing with various dodgy sellers, they'll all have many many happy customers.

If you buy a car from a dodgy company and your car happens to be a "goodun" and you dont have any problems with it, it doesnt mean the company isnt dodgy. You only discover the dodgyness when you get a bad one, and then expect your rights as a buyer to be upheld and discover a bloke with a baseball bat telling you to do one.

If you buy from the dodgy garage, knowing they're dodgy and willing to accept the your essentially buying at your own risk with no comebacks, then i guess thats fine, but its not the same thing as recommending them as a good seller!

The Credit Card Company sent a form out to me, and on this form was 'what condition was the item when sending back, inc original packaging (Or words close to that).

I had all the box, so completed the form mentioning this, but i did put down items missing from original box was 'Screen wipe, Cleaning cloth, and adhesive sticky pads'.

http://www.individual-cars.com/ seem cheap. They're based in Germany and prices are in Euros but I priced up a Performance handbrake and auto shifter with gaiters and it came in about £180 including postage. BMW wanted a something like £270.

That's for the Performance auto shifter, gaiter, handbrake handle and matching gaiter. Seems like a reasonable price to me for genuine parts.

They have gone into liquidation, so I would avoid them.

You always need to shop around but found these good on lots of parts, but you need to factor shipping.

Dharms, as posted above, the dealers who give 15% are great. Otherwise 2nd hand search.

You picked up a new toy then....?
