Looks great, just need to tweak the bright green grass that’s visible through the front window. 😏

A few weeks back i attempted to install the AA downpipe but it didnt fit on to my exhaust so i had to order the pipe expander that folks here suggested.

Harbor Freight finally shipped and delivered my large pipe expander after a couple of weeks so i was able to find some time today to get under the car and install my AA downpipe. Used the expander (thanks to this community) and was able to get it to fit. Had a crazy hard time getting the factory downpipe off the exhaust this time around and that was my only issue with the install. 2.5 hours from beginning to end.

id like to give a special negative shoutout to aa though because when i spoke with xph about the downpipe not fitting, they relayed my issue to aa and they came back with what felt to me was a rude "are you doing this yourself? you should bring it to a garage/professional... we've sold thousands of these and NEVER not once had a fitment issue. send us pics." left a bad taste in my mouth. xph was cool, aa not so much.

anyways, no CEL so far. just did the break-in 2500 rpm rev and so far so good.

Do you think the strut braces have made a sizable difference? I'm looking at purchasing an M240i when the right one comes up, and I'm used to a Z4 which is very pointy on cornering.

Sizable no, but i do believe they do offer some benefit in high speed/load stability. Just felt a little bit tighter on the front end.

I just picked mine up a few weeks ago. I had the windows tinted last weekend. This weekend, I'm hoping to install the side skirts, front lip, Dinan CAI, and pre-LCI shifter I have for this thing. I also have some IAW exhaust tips from my old G20 M340i that I plan on installing. At some point, I'll probably put a spoiler on and that will likely be it for my mods, maybe the MPE and an AA DP down the road.

Congrats on your new baby! The pre-LCI shifter will be a choice addition (one of the few factors that kept me from getting a '23+ model). Love my Dinan CAI. Enjoy the whistles and wooshes!

Had 30% Expel Prime XR tint installed on all of the windows and 70% on the windshield this past weekend. A must-have in Texas!

Also de-badged and installed the M Performance carbon fiber spoiler.

just an update i wanted to share, post AA downpipe installation... the car sounds absolutely AMAZING. i am blown away at the improvement in sound. you hear much more burbles and some pops on hard acceleration. sometimes the burbles sound like thunder rolling in. my main gripe with the 24MY was that it seemed the sounds were a bit (a lot) muted. i could only hear it on really hard acceleration and when coming up to a stop, but with the AA DP, you hear it enough to give you a smile every time.

i recommend it to anyone looking for a more aggressive sound. to me, its at the perfect level and balance of sound and not being annoying to everyone (im looking at you, dodge chargers and challengers!).

Did you leave the rest of the exhaust stock?

And how would this affect warranty?
Also, may I ask the cost and the fitting cost?

im assuming you mean my post.

it probably voids the warranty if any exhaust parts fail because of the dp, but i think the chance of that is very minimal (i could always swap the dp back to factory) and it doesnt void the warranty on other parts of the car.

cost was 1400ish? i think i used a discount code or it was on sale when i made the move to order. fitting cost was $30 for the pipe expander. i installed it myself.

there is a little drone in sport mode (at least, what i think you mean by drone). when i was getting my car back from the parking garage yesterday, it was louder parked and idling than i originally thought, which was kinda good.

when its in comfort mode, it sounds like factory sport mode.

EDIT: just looked up drone exhaust noise and I haven't noticed any of that. I'll keep my ears tuned to see if I hear anything out of the ordinary next time I'm out and about. There is a different sound when the car is in reverse though, oddly.
