MHD burbles not working N55
Hey guys I flashed to stage one a month ago and turned medium burbles with a stock cat and I was able to hear it burble etc. I turned it off the next day since I wasn’t catless but now when I go catless and flash it with burbles on it won’t burble at all I’ve tried reflashing and nothing is working. Any ideas please help me? Thanks!

Can you post a photo of the settings that you used for the burbles? Are you also waiting 30 seconds after flashing before starting the engine?

Currently not home but I copied these guys settings. They’re not on 2 seconds tho they’re on 1.7 seconds medium only in sport. And yes I’ve waited 30 seconds after the flash idk why it doesn’t work.

Hey man, I actually re flashed my car this morning after installing B58 coils, switched it from OEM to B58 in my flash settings, left my burbbles alone at 1.7 sec and medium and after flash my burbbles are gone too, I even flashed it again after that with the same result, I was wondering if the coil upgrade did away with them but sound like you're having a similar issue with them. Very weird

I don’t know if it’s a issue on MHDs end but I’m also wondering if it’s because I need to change my spark plugs I’m still on oem but on stage 2. I went stage 2 about 2 weeks ago. It’s really weird I haven’t gotten to hear the burbles while catless.

Try setting the speed for burbles at 0 km/h or mph. Perhaps that might help? Another thing that I can think of is the fuel you are using. I know California is notorious for having quite trash octane. Are you using any low grade or weird type of fuel that might play with this? Also might be worth checking some logs and seeing if the car is running heavily lean but you would have probably noticed that just from driving. I don't think this is something on MHD's side since all the OTS maps and burbles act more or less the same for everyone, but burbles definitely should always work. Sometimes burbles don't work when revving standstill. Did you try just revving on neutral/park or was it while rolling? Good luck!

I don’t even have the standstill option but back when my burbles actually worked it still wouldn’t pop on standstill. And I’m running 91 from Safeway on my last 335i I ran the same fuel and it would pop normally but I also had the PPK tune. I really don’t know what it could be I’m just tryna enjoy the burbles 😢

Did you try the 0 km/h or mph option? Might be worth a shot. Any probable exhaust leak in your system? Does it sound off or louder than it should be?

Sorry for the late reply but I haven’t tried the 0kph option. And I don’t think I have an exhaust leak the car sounds great and I have many videos of it sounding great lol. It went catless but followed the correct process and tightened everything to spec. I might’ve flashed it wrong. I’m thinking about removing the mhd flash completely then re flashing mhd.

i set my burbles timing to zero and overrun timing in the negatives - not sure it helps with the MHD OTS maps, but makes for a less "gun shot" type of exhaust effect.

I don’t get burbles in general so it doesn’t rlly matter lol but thanks. Maybe if I set my regular drive mode burbles to a certain amount of burbles I can get the back
