Issues with Asus ROG STRIX RTX2070 OC
So I bought this card few weeks ago and installed it into my workstation, starts up fine, no problems so far, started the first game (Division 2) and after a few minutes the screen freezes and was only to solve by hard reset.
New try with Diablo 3, same effect. Returned the card to the dealer, yesterday it came back, after reinstallation I got first after few minutes a blue screen, than at second attempt it runs until I started Division 2, then suddenly some coloured artifacts appear and the screen went down. Read a lot of problems with this series afterwards into forums, its still a very good card (at user who run it w/o problems), but I think I return it now finally and look around for replacement. Any suggestions? Anyone else encountered this?

Sounds like a driver issue somewhere. Try the latest drivers for the card (but also try a previous version too).
You can use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to make sure no residual drivers are there from previous versions. Also worth checking other drivers on your PC, like chipset/mobo etc. |

Be careful with the Division 2, a lot of people report crashes with DX12, so make sure to run it in DX11 for now. You also need a high quality PSU in case you've upgraded from something low end.

Highly unlikely 2 different cards are bad. Most likely a software issue. Boot into safe mode and do a clean install of your driver. If you have shadowplay running, or even GeForce Experience, try turning them off and then running the game. I have also had bad luck with GPU software (Msi Afterburner, EVGA Precision X, etc.) impacting games and causing weird issues. Try killing those processes as well. Try a different game and see if you get any odd issues. Tons of possible issues, so it just comes down to trial and error.

Appreciate your comments and inputs, will give the DDU a chance.
All drivers (MB and rest) are up to date, read somewhere that nVidia 419.37 should work perfect, will try also and come back with the results. No Asus drivers installed so far, aside of clocking and fan speed adjusting, but not used them. Thanks, folks.

Update all the things - bios, windows, etc. remove all aftermarket software and just run latest driver package. Do clean install of drivers when installing. Beyond that, I’d check PSU since plenty of GPU issues end up being PSU related. If it was just one card I’d blame the card but not twice - there’s a weak link somewhere. Also try running the card in a friends system to see if you get the same issues.

We had installed the card meanwhile into 2 complete different systems, at the first one 2 bluescreens instantly after starting at the second artifacts instantly after starting.
Card returned the second time to dealer for exchange on warranty. If that fails, I got my money back and change cardtype and brand. Just to complete: I own a 750W power supply, its strong enough.

That you had issues across systems either means you have two weak systems, or the extraordinary bad luck of getting another bad card. Strictly speaking, ASUS Strix cards usually are pretty good. My 980 strix ran for years with no issues and I still have it as backup in case my Titan Xp craps out |

I hear you, but the power supply is a very good one which supplies really enough, that isn't the problem.
2 corrupt systems maybe but not 3 in a row. Search for artifacts at the strix 2070 OC and you'll find lots of entries. Seems like I got one of the very first edition where this happened a lot Meanwhile I have to return to my Asus GTX680, also a really good card but the newer the game, the lower the graphic settings.

I have a Gigabyte 2070 super with no issues in the two months of ownership. It's paired with an Evga G2? 850w psu
