Post Blacklines FAQ

since blacklines are a very common mod for us e90 owners, here is some basic info that should be read about it before you post topics about it.

-blacklines are replacement taillights for the e90.
-they are purely cosmetic and serve as to improve the look of the rear e90 lights that lots of people gripe about.
-the turn signals blink amber
-this is a BMW part, not an aftermarket part

pics of it can be seen below.

this is a before and after pic, on the left are regular tailights, and right are the blacklines.

What is the blackline part #?
- 632 104 066 78

Where can i buy blacklines for my e90?
-the most common and cheapest place to get blacklines are
morristown:
their ebay store http://stores.ebay.com/Morristown-BMW
their parts website http://morristownbmw.cpclogic.com/dsp_parts.cfm

what is the best way to get it installed?
-Yourself! Longtran's DIY : http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4660

are blacklines similar to the euro taillights?
-No, euro taillights are the same as the U.S. spec version except
the turn signal is amber instead of red

Just one thing. The blacklines for e90 do not fit the ones for e91, other then that great write up.

Smile Blacklines on Le Mans Blue

Hi,

Just fitted new Blackline lights to my E90 330D M Sport . Thought you might like to see them added to the gallery. It's a great improvement to the rear end looks.

I apologize if this is a stupid question...Do you still retain the adaptive brake lights with the blacklines?

i dont really notice the difference. Do some people think the rear lights are too big and want black lines to make the over all appearence smaller? why do people not like the original>?

The blacklines make the rear look lower and wider.

The originals are just too RED.

the red lens makes any light in the area look red. the blacklines have an amber bulb.
