That's a good idea. That is only a couple of hours from me. Is there a dealership you would recommend with a short wait? Does the PDC delivery cost anything additional?

It's free but will add to the delivery time.

This is exactly what I did with the F87 launch. Being from NC it's a short drive to SC with a one way rental. I ended up mass emailing 40+ dealers asking for an open allocation. Found one that hadn't been reserved in Montgomery Alabama for MSRP. Most dealers were using markups.

Varies based on how backed up they are. Summer months I'm sure it'll be much longer.

Most dealers near me are marking up all models. Makes me sick to my stomach.... especially when there are incentives that come directly from BMW.

But...they will definitely sell everyone they build...no matter what the grille looks like or how weird the taillights look.

I may get one after another year with the Supra.

This car will run for 6-7 years. I wouldn't be worried about getting an allocation.

It will be a nice car for sure, but all of us should be able to get it at some point within those 6-7 years.

What oil shortage? Simply a geographical issue not a supply issue.
The temporary lithium car bandwagon, will soon be replaced with hydrogen fuel cells.
Happy to be first in line for a g87 and 50+ in-line for an Emira.

I probably heard wrong, that there are 9 people signed up and I could be 10th if that's the case.

I dropped my Emira deposit being at the top of the waitlist and a year later, still no real info or allocations. Think I'll wait to see if I like the new M2. I still love my OG- not sure anything can replace it. I didn't have a deposit on one at all but thanks to someone posting on BP, I had one of the first 2016s with no markup.
