If it had evidence of a crime, they could take it under the premise of exigent circumstances-- particularly if the video is related to an accident.

If you drive like a hooligan on public roads, I probably wouldn't use one or at least would turn it off. No point in recording yourself breaking the law. And if you leave it on, definitely turn the internal microphone off.

As with most things, it's state specific. I get the feeling he might not be from the US, though.

FitCam X , can’t even tell you have a dash cam installed. Legit looks OEM

Pair it w/ a 256 GB microSD . I run it at the max resolution 4k + sound . It’s pretty good video quality , but not amazing.

Seamlessly integrated & gets power from the rain fall sensor.

Running front only, no rear. And no parking mode. Don’t want to deal with the fusebox or battery pack.

Definitely better systems out there. But I just love the form factor & still retaining a clear unobstructed view out your windshield

Imminent destruction of evidence.

In Spain, the installation in the official workshop is just over €200, in total just over €800 including the purchase of the cameras.

What I really liked is that the cameras record when they notice the presence of a stranger and you can control everything from an application on your mobile phone.

You're correct - but it's always amusing to see someone try to tell you they know better.

It's probably under the same circumstance where they could take your cell phone, which again would have to be a unique circumstance. I have been pulled over before for speeding with a dashcam clearly on my car and the cop didn't try to take anything. I highly doubt they care unless like I said you are in a situation where you have done something heinous. If you are doing something like that, that frequently, that it outweighs the benefits of having a dashcam then Christ, you probably shouldn't have a license.

As a precaution I disabled the speed overlay on my dashcam video. I want proof of no fault without having to worry about what speed I was 'purportedly' at

Under the proper circumstances. I think they can still get your speed by downloading it from the black box in the car.

My G87 will be in for it's 2,000km service on the 21st November, spoke to dealership and they have assured me that the BMW dash cam is compatible with my car....it's a little expensive, but will not void any warranty coverage. Once fitted (if it is doable) I will advise fellow inmates.

The fuse box is under the glovebox, and you need fuse taps. Follow these instructions:

Sewell wants $1200 in labor to install the advanced car eye 3.0 pro :/

They said if I install it somewhere else then it’ll void the warranty (?) Is the warranty broken up in different parts or would this void the warranty of the engine too?

Makes a lot of sense. Not sure where you live, but its not legal to grab unless you allow them to search your car.

I’d move stat if I lived in such a place!

I’m blessed to live in a lowkey state.

I got the same quote at my two local dealers. That's a
RIDICULOUS amount, and not one I was willing to pay

Still considering alternatives.
