67 in a 45 whoops. Hard to estimate speed when you’re having fun and not looking at the HUD or screen lol.
Cop was super chill, unfortunately couldn’t let me go though due to having me on radar and it being recorded. First speeding ticket in 4 years so traffic school it is. |

Similar experience to yours. I spotted 2 M2s in my area of Liberty Township (suburb of Cincinnati). A black one I keep seeing drive by me and a BG I saw parked at a mall and did a quick u-turn to go check it out (to the owner: I wasn’t trying to steal your car, just drooling over it as it was my first time seeing it up close). I’m 42 and this is the next car I’m getting for sure.

Though I've gotten compliments from all ages, it definitely attracts attention from younger people. I have the ZB also.
I was driving through my neighborhood the other day and an approximately 10 year old kid on a bike pointed at my car, made a shocked face, then through himself off his bike and faked a heart attack. Cracked me up. |

Interesting, when I had mine, it was a wide range of people that interacted with me and my M2. Two ladies in particular stand out in my mind, both well into their 60s.
Of course the young ones were also interested.

The Ferrari owner told me he liked my color. I said “thanks, yours isn’t too bad either.” He laughed.

I reside in the Bay Area, more specifically in the South Bay's Silicon Valley. It's amusing how commonplace luxury cars are here; while M cars are a dime a dozen, it takes something truly exotic like a Lambo, Ferrari, or Aston Martin to turn heads. BMWs, Mercedes, and Porsches? They're practically the norm. Just my personal observations.

My ZB had gotten compliments from a wide range of people, from people in their 20s to a soccer mom in her 50s or a guy in the 911 Dakar.
If I were to count, there were more women than men complimented the car. And all of them were talking about the color. My friend with the BSM in the area said he doesn't usually get any attention. The ZB certainly stands out, also had definitely gotten unwanted attention from a couple of subaru's with tiny wheels and coffee cans. |

But I was in Milpitas over the weekend and there was an M6 parked next to my car when I came out of Best Buy, so maybe the owner intentionally parked next to me. |

Having been run into two different times -- this in my Boxster -- and stopped by drivers on the phone -- as soon as the vehicle turned and my path ahead was clear I stepped on the gas pedal. Well, being a Hellcat the rear tires broke loose a bit. Nothing like one sees in YT videos of side shows but a deputy sheriff a few vehicles back heard the Hellcat engine and pulled me over. I did all the right things: Turned onto the nearest side street and pulled over. Put transmission in P, turned off the engine, turned on the flashers, lowered both windows, and put my hands on top of the steering wheel. Officer walked up to driver's side window. Of course he wanted to talk to me about the bit of excessive acceleration. I told him I understood but I assured him it was not intentional that the event was inadvertent. Since moving to Benton County AR I had not been driving the car very much at all -- using my M-B cargo van at my daily driver -- and was unfamiliar with the Hellcat. I even offered to let him drive the car to see for himself how easy what I did was to do. He declined. He took my license, proof of insurance, registration card, all in good order I might add, and went to his cruiser. Came back a few minutes later and told me he was giving me a warning. And he did. Handed back all my stuff and said I was free to go. Not long after I traded in the Hellcat. For a 2020 Scat Pack with just 485hp... But I never got pulled over in that car the 18 months and 8K miles I drove it here. |

The head-turning experience is relative to region and the local socio-economics. Here in West LA every other car is a 911. GT3s and Ferraris street parked. People don't even look at those anymore. It has to be truly unique, like a Bugati. The only people turning to look at M cars are the enthusiasts. Even guys driving other M cars don't seem to care. I never get a thumbs up around here. It's also partly the type of highly competitive personality this place attracts. As soon as I leave LA it's all stares. Even in poorer parts of LA. When I would go to Central CA in my WRB STI the locals would look at me like I was an alien. Rural Midwest and the kids are yelling and cheering from the sidewalks for anything that isn't an economy car. So, I think this "G87 is for young people" isn't really happening. |

totally depends on location... here in southern CT it seems to be pretty well under the radar. when i was recently in Burlington and Stowe VT, i couldnt pull the thing out of the lot without getting flagged down. granted, i also had my roof rack and two sets of skis (mine being 186s) on top, but still the contrast was striking.

Ha, yeah, I once was leaving a grocery store walking back to the M2 and saw a kid about the same age on a bike going around my car. When I walked up to it he was like “is this your car?! It’s my dream car…”
