I drive mine in Burlington weekly, I only get a few looks/head turns. I have never been flagged down.

Funny, my car gets a reaction from gearheads of all ages. When I take it to car shows, I get a lot of people in their 30s to 70s come up and talk to me about it. A lot of older people are really into the car, it's pretty striking and certainly has an old school M vibe that the last few generations somewhat glossed over. For example, the F series cars, while looking great and in my eyes, some of the all time best looking M cars, had a contemporary BMW feel to them. The G87 looks like a 80s DTM, luxury rocket that belongs on the track and being chased by some villain who throws various clothing items at you.

I'm 58 & not a huge fan of the front of the G87, but it would still turn my head! From the side it is a great looking car. The interior, hands down, beats the F87 by a LONG mile. I would even say on the F87 I get more reactions/head turns from young people - guys in particular. I hold out hope I have a ready market when I am ready to sell it. heh heh

Older BMW fans always bring up the 1M when talking to me about my car so I think for them, that car holds their hearts & souls.

I always get this feeling folks never really thought of the F87 M2 as a "real" M car esp. with that N55 under the hood. Just my thoughts/guesses about it. I love it, though & the G87 is definitely on my radar.

Had a dude recognize the car without seeing the rear badging. So figured maybe he knew the line up. But then he proceeded to say "Hey that's a nice M2. Is that a comp or just a regular M2?".... so my initial assumption was incorrect 🙃

But get alot of comments in general. The demo is all over the place, young old, men women, driving beaters or cars costing 4x the g87. I honestly attribute alot of it to the ZB color. BSM and others are far more stealth (which can be a great thing) and likely fly under the radar more.

All ages here. From the old guy at the Goodwill to the youngster at the gym. Oh, and a bunch of idiots doing batshit on the road just because they sighted the car.
