Halogen Non angel eye headlights to Angel Eye Conversion

I have an extra pair of stock pre lci halogens (non angel eye). Looking to convert them myself as a project, but what exactly is needed?
I've searched numerous threads but non are that helpful nor are they for pre lci, etc. Most DIY's are for halogen Angels to Xenon's and for lci.
Also, people are saying the parts are gonna be pricey. Threads make it seem way too pricey/impossible, but if I send my headlights to a vendor that does what I'd want it will be around the $600-700 range.
Can anyone give me a list or a DIY link to what I would need for PRELCI Halogen non adaptive headlights.

Really just trying to put RGB angel eyes, black out the housing and maybe clear corners of possible.

Lmk guys

Just buy a set of LCI headlights from Ebay... they're plug and play, you can change the AE bulbs with some nice LED ones before installing. That's what I did to mine.

Wanna spend $400 or less? Go >>HERE<< Hell, the guy's even considering offers. I have DEPO headlamps just like them and they're great.

Not opposed to spending just under $500? Go >>HERE<<. These headlamps mimic the new F-series headlamps, but fit our cars. I'm tempted and I just got mine in the last 6 months!

Good luck man!

These are nice too. You can buy different rings to put in if you don't like the design.

I did the conversion from halogen to xenon with Umnitza orion V2 LED angel eyes. You can read this thread LCI Projector retrofit.

One of the references I posted on that link is a Pre-LCI halogen to xenon. So you can see the halogen bowl shape and stuffs. Before I did this conversion, I did survey all other options like Depo headlights and few others. But trust me as I spoke to lot of members here who used the Depo headlights. After a months or a year, a lot of them have had problems with spider web cracks or moisture leak etc. Thats mainly because the non OEM headlights are not made of the same quality.

My recommendation you DIY the install or find a vendor (quiet a few of them in vendor section). And while you are at it, just get xenons installed as well. The difference is day and night. You might spend a few 100's more but its worth it.

Thanks man, so you started the project with the Halogen Angel eyes and not the NON angel eye headlights, correct? I'll be starting this project with the NON angel eyes.

Can you pm me the links to everything you used for your headlights if possible? I'd really appreciate it, thanks!

Starting with angel eyes or not does not really matter as you dont use any of the oem mounting positions for aftermarket angel eyes. I have seen quiet a few variants of angel eyes but for me umnitza.com's angel eyes were the best quality for me. If you read my thread above, you have to epoxy the high beam side and for the low beam side you can epoxy them to shroud if you install a projector or you could find a way to tie them to the trim like I did. I bought the projector and xenon set from http://www.theretrofitsource.com. The one I have is a Mini H1 and the projector shroud I used is called Mini Gaitling. I would suggest getting the "Iris" shroud or the "E46" shroud as they look much better. I am planning to reopen and convert mine to E46 during christmas break. With iris or e46 shroud, you could drill tiny holes on the shroud and mount the angel eye to it directly (look at install videos from theretrofitsource.com on youtube).

As for where to buy your angel eyes, I would call umnitza directly and speak to someone there. They are generally helpful. If you decide to buy from someone else, make sure you tell them exactly what headlights you have as they seem to vary a little bit.
