Nude BBS RGR Content - World's First Midnight Blue / Mag Blue RG-Rs?
So I recently decided that I wanted to go in a different color direction with my RGRs. For now this is going to be a bit of a teaser until the refinishing is complete, but the story goes something like....
I purchased a set of RG-Rs in Diamond Black, but the topcoat was wearing & I decided that instead of trying to match the original coat I would go for something somewhat original. Here's how they started life with me... I dropped them off at Ye Olde Wheel Shop and had them prepped while I searched through countless paint books <nude wheels below>... I saw them stripped and my expression was something like this as i was still perplexed as to the exact paint color which I wanted to select. <---That was me. Then, INSPIRATION STRUCK!... I'll let you kind folks know how it turns out (with photographic evidence, of course)...here's hoping! And they came home today all finished. 4/18/13 Special Delivery!

As you can imagine, I did not waste much time getting them mounted...
...and we have the new look! At first, I was a bit nervous, but I'm really liking the way everything ties in with the CF Centercaps and Kidney Grilles.

Nice! Lol, so would I. Now that I finally selected a color, I'm dying to get the wheels back. Hopefully the paint process doesn't take too long, but I'm guessing a week and a half to two weeks. YOWS isn't lightning fast, but they do great work and I've found them to have fantastic service (putting up with me is tough) despite what I've read elsewhere.
Fingers crossed! Haha. |

I'd've loved to see that bottom GT. It was signed by Mr. Shelby and the previous owner was Chris Titus. Not even to mention the rare wheels, etc. |

Thanks, Prissy, so--with that said--I'll ask you this: am I defacing what some consider the ultimate wheel by going with a non-BBS color or is it what's on e inside that counts?

As do I, but difficult to duplicate and the tinted clear topcoat on the rears was wearing. I wound up opting for the color of the Ford GT (midnight Blue) for something similar to Volks Mag blue.

Sir/madam, your reading skills are truly unparrallelled.
Note the color of the Ford GT itself (not the color of the one car's wheels). |
