Ended up buying the Dinan exhaust - installing it this Saturday.

Will post some videos of it when it's all finished

Surprised to see so many pick Dinan as it seems to take alot of bashing in these forums.

I really don't understand the cost of some of these exhausts. What am I paying for exactly? The performance gains of a catback are minimal. There is about $1k worth of pipe and welding. I dont mind coughing up 1-2k but 3-10k+.. for what, a bit more burble? Guess Im going custom made.

Beats me... I was one of the first peeps to get it installed when it dropped and I love it. From what I've read on FB G42 forums, it's pretty unanimous that those that got it installed, love it. Haters gonna hate.

Anyone have any experience with the Turner catback? Can't find much on it. Seems reasonable in price for a full system but only able to find one vid from a vendor.

Yeah def not much about it, they make an intake and some other stuff too I tried researching to no avail. From what I gathered it seemed people disliked turner after ecs bought them thats pretty much all I could find. If you do get it let us know.

In my case, yes. I needed to buy an exhaust controller to be able to relearn the actuators and calibrate the flaps to open to 100%.

Still sounds fairly quiet except at cold start and WOT, so I wonder sometimes if the valves are really fully open…

The dinan exhaust is a mild sound increase, if you want more from it, i recommend upgrade to a catted downpipe

I bought the AA from you a while back and I'm running that combo.

Still trying to figure out how this setup is quieter than my old F22 with the MPE backbox and DP.

Personally, I don't think it sounds nearly deep enough (although hearing it in the video isn't the best way to tell how it sounds). I prefer the sound of my Dinan and of course Akrapovic but that price is astronomical. Mind you, nothing had to be cut with my Dinan, but they claim that " this rear exhaust is intended for those who only wish to replace their stock rear section so the stock midpipes will need to be cut". Meh...

Yeah, I'm not sure why they included that exhaust install video. It would have better to leave that out.

You would have to cut the oem even for the m performance exhaust. Apparently the setup is very close to the g20 with a different connecting pipe.
