Nice looking rides gents. I sat in a BG with Tacora at my local dealer 2 days after they rolled it off the truck. Sales had taken a deposit that morning! Bought my AW 2 days later at a different dealer right off the lot. That Dinan airbox looks pretty trick!!
Enjoy.

Weight: I know the feeling you mean but I’m very curious what the factory alignment specs are. My x3m is nearly 1000# heavier but handles more responsive. I’m not bothered by the m240i handling but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just a bit watered down alignment specs for tire life and economy. My x3m eats tires for lunch |

At the top. You gotta swipe down from the top (same way you access quick settings toggle on the phone) and the shortcuts are there.

As mentioned above, you can swipe down from the upper edge of the touchscreen or what I do is push the iDrive controller up (towards the direction of the touchscreen) to bring down the shortcuts drop-down menus.

Tint @ 20% nano ceramic all around. Decided to leave the windshield alone since it's just too dark in the country without street lights where we live
It's amazing how much of a change in color the Thundernight really has! |

Love my G42. Only negatives - I wish I could retrofit adaptive cruise control at a reasonable cost since it was unavailable for so long - and I wish there was a louder exhaust. I'm looking at an M2 next. If I can get one at MSRP I will, if not, I'll ride out the next 2-3 years with my M240i. It's a wonderful car. Excellent handling and smooth power. Rides well on rough Colorado roads.

Adding a BSM to the list. Picked up my 230i BSM on red in Feb 22. Had the front PPF’d, and entire car ceramic coated, tinted at 35%. I take a longer drive to work just to steal a few extra minutes and miles enjoying the drive.

600 miles
I got my car 3 days before a scheduled trip where I have been gone and the car has been sitting in the garage. I have had the car 6 weeks and only have 600 miles on it.
I live in a winter wonderland so I will drive it when the roads are dry but now when there is snow and slop and salt on the roads. I like the car but don’t have much to add to discussion for those waiting. If you have car in production it will come eventually. The process seems to drag and I was discouraged many a day. But all of a sudden I could see the delivery coming my way. Good luck |

Great pics. The 3/4 front profile shot really captures “the look” of the car. Of all the colors, the gloss black trim pieces really pop off the AW. (Excuse my slightly biased opinion) Enjoy the fruits of your labor!

Just 1 month old and already 3,000 km covered (1,850 miles), with another 3,000 planned for this month. No commuting in that either - two multi-day car club trips and a couple of club day trips - and some drives just for fun.
Loving the car's handling - it's all about balance and poise. The passive suspension manages uneven roads brilliantly and the handling is neutral unless the corners get really tight when there's a bit of understeer. The 230i has plenty of power for fun roads. A pleasant surprise was how very economical it is for highway/freeway cruising. Very much worth the 8 month wait.

In the past 8 weeks I lost 2 cars to engine failure a 02 M3 (threw a rod) and a 15 GTI (timing chain and cylinder destroyed) so I replaced them both with a 2017 AW vert with 12k on the clock and a 2022 M240i coupe PBM with a cognac interior. Could not be happier with them both.

A new-to-me 2022 I picked up back in April and put on about 2k miles since then. Absolutely loving it and so far the only modification is the Dinan CF intake installed by the original owner.
Considering new wheels by next spring/summer and maybe some exhaust modifications sooner. Last edited by yordmech; 06-16-2023 at 12:58 PM.. Reason: typo |
