Out of curiosity are there any UK customers who's vehicles are currently in transit aware of what ship there cars are on ?

Only ask as I've noticed a lot of US customers seem to know there ship names but BMW Genius didn't have a clue when I asked.

All I've been told is it's at sea and on route to Southampton.

Any info will appreciated

I had the same problem tracking mine as well, no one knew the ships name, the only details I was told they go from Mexico to Germany then back on another boat to UK
mine was built in January and is sitting in the UK somewhere
Meant to be getting here soon, hope the c##ts aren’t using it as a demo

Not a clue to be honest, mine is now estimated at the dealership end of March but is currently at sea. From my understanding they go to Germany first then to the UK.

The genuis in the US can tell the customer what ship it's loaded onto allegedly. Don't know why we dont get the same here 🤷🏼*♂️

Funny you say that mate! I was 13th in the queue when ordering. End of March delivery, now it's June. However my dealer was saying to come through and check there launch car as it's the same colour as mine. I can honestly see the arguments right now if it turns out it's the exact same as mine and it's the only one they have.

I was worried about this too, but the one my dealer got was a completely different spec to what I ordered. It seems the dealers were just given an allocation by BMW, and they had no say in colour/spec etc. Definitely be interesting to see if it's exactly the same as what you ordered though.

Correct… al the cars that are at the dealers right now (in whole Europe and Uk) are HEA spec’d cars they get from Bmw, they have no say whatsoever in what options, color, etc.

So if my dealer has this car exactly as mine it's just a coincidence? I know it's the same colour as mine so far

Do you have a note of your chassis number, if so check it at the dealership and see if it’s your car, if you don’t have it get them to get it for you.

Only gave me an order number mate.
I take it when ordering the chassis and order number are generated and can't be amended?

Give your dealer a call, they should be able to give you the chassis number no problem, unless they haven’t built your car yet, I got mine in January and checked it on chassis decoder, tells you the date it was built and full spec of your car

Ask your CA. I'm sure the UKs bmw system has the same functions as ours in the US

Have at last managed to track my new M240i in the UK
called BMW customer services and was told the car is in Southampton and has been allocated a transportation number for delivery to dealership

So I’m hoping it might arrive next week

The priority was probably given to dealers having their demo cars for the official launch tomorrow (12th March) and customer cars to follow. Good luck with your delivery.

Interesting that they sent your car to Southampton even know it's final destination is Dundee.

I would of thought they would of shipped it somewhere closer but from the looks of things all of them for the country will just go to Southampton and then do rest of journey by road.

VW send there cars to different ports up and down the country subject to final destination so I thought it would be the same with BMW.
