Just checked and I’m now status 153 and my production date moved from 8/8 to 8/5.

I've just checked in with the genius and my build week has finally been updated from week 29 to week 32 which starts on Monday. Still status 150. Hoping it actually happens this time. Does anyone know if they works over the weekend at the factory or do they just build Monday to Friday? Cheers

I believe San Luis Potosi operates 6 days a week (M-Sat). Yesterday my 240i went from status 150 (where it had been for 4 weeks) to status 153 (assembly started)...my production date is actually this coming Tuesday (8/8). Can only hope it's assembling now

I have a production date of August 7th. Kinda of weird they would assign that date if the plant isn't even open.

Yeah that is strange. BMW San Luis Potosi has a google business listing. Operating hours are posted at M-F 5a-7p and Sat 6a-7p.

Also note if you go to the website (https://www.bmwgroup-werke.com/san-luis-potosi/es.html), you can arrange a virtual tour via this link (https://www.visita-bmw-slp.com.mx/).

Looks like the zoom tours are M-F @ 9am. In person tours are available M-Sat...

I'm planning to do the virtual tour in the next couple weeks.

Yeah I was there for 5-6 weeks. 3 is completely normal, so the extra 2-3 was for the plant shutdown

Was week 28 but nothing happened. Then last week it finally said production begins

My car has been flying through the plant today. I am now at "Quality check" status 155. They also updated the production date once again; now at 8/09. Hopefully I don't sit here too long

I had a production date of 8/7 I called BMW Genius and they told my new production is 9/4

Scheduled for Production is 112. 150 is Production Begins, although production actually begins 2-3 weeks after you hit 150

I wish that were true for everyone. I've been at status 150 since 29th June and still no change.

I'm hoping for a change this week. I was told on Friday I'd moved from week 29 to week 32, but when checking today I'm back to week 29. Who knows what's going on…
