Early '23 w/o M Illuminated Trim
Quote:
If they are forcing the M illuminated option, it's because of a supply chain issue on the non-M illuminated trim. |

And to be clear, my just completed MY23 says nothing about Illuminated M Trim in on the My Garage site so I think it was finished just before they made this change.
Also, I went with the Piano Black so I'm not getting the mix and match trim. |

I actually really like the dash trim, BUT, I wish it was ambient color like meyer's and not forced M colors. But oh well, at least nothing else was removed from my build so far so I'm cool with it

as far as I know you can adjust the intensity of all ambient lighting so I guess this will not be an issue...

Looking at this 2023 m340i, it has carbon fiber from factory where the m240i now has the ambient lighting. I wonder if it's interchangeable? |

Not sure if anyone posted this yet, but here's a MY23 with the Illuminated M Trim and Aluminum Rhombicle Anthracite. The top trim now looks exactly as we saw in the Chinese auto show vid.

It appears to be the same geometrical shape, but the color, at least from the pics, looks darker. My eyes ain't exactly what they used to be neither, so we're in the same boat. Soon we'll get some pics from members that have this combo, and hopefully they can describe the differences or similarities better.

the upper trim model looks to me more like a "snake skin" one and somewhat different from the real rhombicle one ( also the upper one's material seems matte style compared to the centre console one which seems glossy), but as you said, we should see better as many other MY2023s will be arriving to their customers soon...

So is it confirmed that the M trim is is mandatory on all orders moving forward?
My order moved back to "order received" from 112 status. My CA stayed that the M trim is not the reason for the delay. I currently have the standard illuminated trim on my order. |

I'm not sure if we've seen "mandatory," or the like, in writing yet. It seems to be a guessing game at the moment.
