20" wheel question

Hey all, Im pretty new to this forum but, has anyone run 20 inch wheels on a 335i in/around the city (chicago) land area? How was the ride? Im thinking about purchasing one and would like your thoughts on it. Thanks!

If you get forged wheels , (custom made) you wont have a problem. Most of them are very strong, and going through a pothole wont damage it. Running 20's really isnt much different then 19. I get 20 inch for all my wheels, I have iForged right now and I love them. I use to live in NY and the roads were very bad and I had 20 inch, and used them no problem. You will not have a problem with them.

I wouldnt say you wont have a problem with them. Many people bend even forged 19s in Chicago.

Getting 20s with a 25 profile tire size is really thin. Still have to be careful of potholes which CHicago has many of.

i am running 20s with a 25 & 30 profile tire. Plus H&R springs with almost a 2inch drop. City drivin is tough and i do nothin but sweat. once i'm on the parkway/expressway it's all good.

i'm not from chicago, but a lot of cities are pretty much the same when your talkin tar. i hate drivin in philly...

I have 20 inch as well, I actually used to live in Chicago, and I was fine. The look of 20 in my opinion is better then 19 inch, which is why I got 20 inch. If you care about your rims, dont worry youll be fine driving. If i could drive with 20 inch and chicago and nothing happen, you will be okay as well. Get a good tire, and your good as gold

P.S. If you get a 30 sidewall on the 20, youll have more protection which is perfectly fine.
