Kelly BMW Columbus,Ohio
Great Sales Staff. Very helpful and in-tune with enthusiast questions. Very knowledgeable. Steve & Bill are the ones to ask for.

I ordered the car (325, Sports, Xenon, Nav) from Kelly BMW yesterday. I called the dealership, asked for sales, and spoke with Dave. I told him the spec car I wanted and what I wanted to pay ($1,250 over invoice). He was very professional and could tell I was a serious buyer. He met my price without negotiating and threw in floor mats ($125). So, I essentially got the car for $1,125 over invoice within a 5 minute conversation.
I would highly recommend Dave and Kelly BMW if you live in the area. Chris |

I had a bad experience with Kelly BMW and would not do business with them again. Let's just say.... Get anything they tell you in writing.
I now use only MAG. |

I have been car shopping and I would say Kelly is good, the new car sales manager (Eric?) let me test drive the 330i 6-sp manual, sport and nav without needing any ID from me, he said just go have fun and come back whenever! BTW, I was back in 20 minutes and I'm only waiting for the 335 to come out now. Also Steve T. assisted in explaining all the functions.

Before buying at Kelly..... Read on-
Went for a test ride with Steve and was reasonably impressed with the 325i. Called Steve the next day and he took my Visa credit card number. He wanted the number because I asked for a specific car and Steve said he would look around the to see what cars were coming in to the USA. He also gave me a price over the phone. The next day I called Steve and he advised me that he found a car -basically white with Nav and heated seats / light interior. Anyway, I asked for a fax so I could see the deal in writing. The faxed price was higher than what we discussed over the phone so I said -no deal. Steve's response was that he already charged my credit card a deposit and it was non-refundable! Complained to the sales manager (Eric) who basically told me to take the deal or lose your deposit. "What deal?" I never signed anything or agreed to anything! I wouldn't buy from Kelly..........I don't deal with people who negotiate that way. Instead I bought from MAG and the deal was 100% smooth. I bought a X5 from Kelly a few years ago (2001) and frankly I like their service department. However, based on what happend I would not step foot on the Kelly lot anytime soon. Contested the charge to Visa who rightly reversed the charge. |

i had steve look up specific cars in transit for me and they never asked for any money or deposit at all, and Eric was the most professional person I have ever met too. Sorry about your experience.
Updated: I received a quote on the 330i I wanted and Kelly is still $1500 more than MAG...I mean come on...I hate the games that some dealers play (ie. Kelly) and MAG was still lower and I didn't even have to ask. Last edited by NoMods; 05-23-2006 at 04:05 PM.. |

My price was lower at MAG as well. When I had the problem with Kelly I went to MAG and they matched the deal -and even went less by $500!
Since I still have a 2001 X5, I have been to both service departments a bit more than I would have liked, but also both about an equal number of times. I must say that they both are good but expensive. No complaints really with either dealership from a service perspective. BTW.... Eric (sales manager for Kelly) was also very professional with me, right up until I informed him that I bought a 2006 325i from MAG. Hey, he has a job to do so I hold nothing personal but just know that those puppy dog eyes are part wolf. I suggest going with MAG but hey, that's just me... |
