Downpipe V band n55
How did you all access that vband clamp. No matter what Ive read it does not seem to allow me a good angle. my u joint is at such a harsh angle it slips off.

Rather than stick the U-joint in from the rear (exhaust) side of the subframe, I went in from the front of the subframe and was able to break it loose. Just keep messing w ur extensions until you’re able to get a solid angle I went 8” to u-joint to 3” extension to socket and was able to get it.
Word of advise for putting it back on: put the vband around the downpipe and line up the downpipe, use a jack to support the bottom, and then work on negotiating the vband around the turbo, it does take some fineness |

I had an xDrive. It was horrible, nightmare like. Anyways, after being stuck for too long I just decided to go ahead and removed the axle and retaining control arms which allowed me to swing the wheel assembly out of the way and grant more access.
Not sure if it actually did help with reaching the V-band itself but I was much more comfortable working. And I suppose psychologically I was getting somewhere lmao.

Honestly I wish I had xdrive. the different sub frame would give me direct access to the vband. Mine seems to be in a completely different orientation than the ones I see on YT lol. Thanks for the help. Im going to get it on my buddies lift and give it another go
