Side view mirror alignment

Has anyone noticed the gap between both side view mirrors when folded? Maybe I'm the first one noticing it but there is a noticeable difference between both mirrors. The left mirror doesn't fold all the way as compared to the right one. I got my delivery 4 days ago and trying to understand if this is something from factory.

Can you guys please confirm that? Maybe post a picture from the front?

Found another image somewhere on the forum and seems the alignment on this car is also similar to mine

looks good to me.. mirrors are placed in different angles..
rhd and lhd are different too.. gap is always wider on driverside .. same on all other cars....

But why? Do you know what is the reason? Can you please post a picture?

For the same angle of view down each side of the car either the mirror housing or the mirror glass itself relative to the housing has to be at a different angle to the driver head on each side. If the housing is symmetrical, then the mirror glass would stick out on one side or be very inset on the other. BMW chose the asymmetrical mirror housing as opposed to having the mirror glass asymmetrical relative to the housing. The RHD cars have housings that are asymmetrical in the opposite direction.

itīs the angle the driver sits to the mirror... thats the reason the mounts of the mirrors are different (lhd/rhd) but the gears and motors inside the foldable mirror mechanic stay the same .. thats the reason you have different angles when the mirrors a folded ( if you do a top down shoot with unfolded mirrors they have a different angle on driver/passenger side too

I can't comment on the why but it makes sense. I can confirm mine is the same.
