Do Over - ONLY Applicable To Current Owners
Now that you have your G87 what options would you add or delete if you could get a do over?

Delete HUD. That's it.

Nothing really then again I only had four paid options on mine:
- Heated wheel - Lightning package - Aluminum trim - Parking assist I am pleasantly surprised by how well the ZB looks in person and how well it fits the car. Blue calipers and bicolor wheels work great with ZB as I hoped. M Highlight seats also compliment the spec nicely. Also extremely happy with my choice of the 6MT over 8AT, makes every drive an occasion for me.

No I posted elsewhere that for me, after the initial coolness wore off, it got annoying just like any other HuD. I just don't like them in my line of sight it turns out. That said I could see it being a desirable option if sold later. I'm just glad we can turn it off unlike in my Mazda.

I have a client right now that is on the fence about it. He likes HUD in his current BMW vehicle with ID7, but he feels that it might be totally unnecessary with ID8. I somewhat agree with him. I feel that in a M sports coupe it is not really needed. In a BMW SAV or sedan it is a tough sale without I knew that was coming. Agreed. |

The HUD hasn’t worn off completely for me, although it is faint and distracting. Could do without.

If you really need it, you can make your own. Just get a charging pad that'll fit, they cost ~$20 and get a short USB angled cable to plug it into the USB port right in front of where you place your phone.

And my car has a wireless charger, I meant if I did over it wouldn’t have it because it’s useless. |

I really liked the HUD on my F30 340i since it made quick speed checks easy in the setting of an analog gauge cluster.
With my M2, I skipped the HUD since the display has digital speed and I don’t miss the HUD at all. My car is lightly optioned: lighting package, parking assist, heated steering wheel, and wireless charger. The charger is the only part I would skip and I really like my spec. Great balance of value and usability. The base options on the M2 are really great and you don’t need to add much to have a really well equipped car. So far, this is one of my favorite cars that I have owned and it has far exceeded my expectations. My wife also loves driving it and now wants to borrow it on a regular basis…this is a first for me! -Nick |

Not getting buckets.. what a total F up on my part. Should have waited for the 1st allocation instead of getting HEA.

Other than wishing the carbon seats were cheaper, no, I don't have any regrets. The car has massive presence with it being all black with carbon fiber everywhere. I get thumbs up almost every time I take it out.

Wireless charger. I didn't get it for the charging, I knew it sucked for that. I got it in case it was required for Digital Key. For only $200, it was a reasonable bet.
But since Digital Key is MIA for manual transmissions, that bet didn't pay off. Ah well. Other than that, I love every option I got, including HUD. |

I love HUD, wouldn’t want to be without it. Gear, speed, speed limit, rpm, shift lights. All very useful in line of sight.
Plus, you can potentially turn it off, so just get it. |
