No more Performance Center Delivery ?
Heard that starting Sept 1st ,2023 that PCD will only be available on cars built in Spartanburg (so its only the X series and whatever else comes out of there)
Is this true? Anyone else hearing this? |

How early on can a booking be made?
Is it when there is a production number or does it have to be “produced”? I am only at 111 with a production number for week 41

Just confirmed with my CA this is true.
I am status 111 with a build week of 42. I have PCD optioned and accepted on my order, therefore I am still good for PCD. From my understanding, any imported car that is not optioned for PCD before Sept 1st will not be accepted.

I am not sure. I spoke with my CA about it.

I posted this over a week back. https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2039531
Heard from a very reliable source. I heard September 15, but apparently that may be September 1.

I tried to add it to my M2 allocation, and my dealer wouldn't do it, because "it messes up our allocations". Has anyone heard of that before?

Oh no, this was one of the last bastions of an enthusiast brand allowing you to take delivery at a special area other than European delivery.
I’m surprised why BMW wouldn’t just charge a fee for it instead of doing it for free. It was such a great experience the two times I was there. Too bad now you can only do it if you buy a 5,000 lb SUV…

Thank you for the info.
I don’t believe I have ever seen Priority 9 on any of my previously ordered BMW. But then again, I was always only provided the VIR at time of order (allocation) and it always says Priority 1. I hope I get in, my PCD request was put in 2 weeks ago when I ordered the week 41 build at status 111.

The performance center confirmed no more reservations after Sept 1 for cars not built in South Carolina. For anyone who thinks PCD has been added to your order, you might want to double check your CA has actually submitted the reservation.
