18x10 ET 40 E92 335xi Pre LCI fitment
Hey everybody. Found some 18x10 et 40 wheels I am very interested in. They currently have 265 35 18s on.
I am running 18x8 et14 w/ 235 40 18s. Rear fenders are already rolled out of precaution. I do have KW V1’s on the car but I am willing to swap to linear springs if needed. My research has lead me to the conception that the backs will fit just fine, maybe a few mm spacer for looks. It seems a 10-15 mm spacer is required to run a wheel of this spec with prog. springs, which would poke me out quite a bit, as my current 8 x ET14 wheels are damn near flush, and ET40 has the exact same poke. It also seems fairly aggressive camber on the front (~ 3 deg) could be needed as well. I’m not super worried about the fender liner, if it needs to be heated and warped, so be it. I will be doing an OEM M3 front end swap in the future, i know waiting for ET25s would be better but these are a pretty good deal. I also might be able to mill a bit off the back face if safe to approach ET25 w/ less spacers, as I work effectively at a machine shop for now. Any help is appreciated! |
