You're not wrong there. The XM is the car equivalent of this look, adopted by receptionists in 'premium' car dealerships nationwide 😱😂

This presumably shares the same drivetrain as the X5 50e, yet the BMW website shows the XM version as having less power (350kw vs 360kw for the X5). I wonder if there's any real difference in reality, but you'd think the 'M' car would be the one with more power?

Thanks gents, It's certainly an acquired taste... but I like that it's different although I wasn't brave enough to make it stand out even more in some of the M colour options. The interior colour choices are a little disappointing in that it's either Black or Sakhir Orange (and it's a lot of orange especially in the back)
Strange that the engine outputs are slightly different as I did think that the drivetrain with the X5 was the same. We did look at an X5 as there's some good offers on those too, but the interior space of the XM is ridiculous, there's more room in the back than my X7 plus if you spec them to the same level the XM is so much cheaper. The XM has literally everything on it apart from Driving assistant professional, but strange no sunroof you get an atmospheric light display instead For the type of driving I do the hybrid will be be much better for us too, I mainly commute with the odd long road trip. Delivery is anticipated as September hopefully. |

Theres only 86 licensed in the UK according to howmanyleft and some of those will be press /BMW UK cars.
I am surprised there is such a wait unless they are truly built to order. Quite telling, in the US, where large SUV's and general boxes are a thing I saw one XM in 5 weeks in many different cities. |

Thanks Chris.
Doesn't seem to be much stock around, the only one I was offered was Black with gold wheels... not my cup of tea! Think there's a wait as the next quarters build allocations haven't been made yet so got to wait for these to come through before I get a confirmed build date. Currently have an Exterior colour conundrum, I like the mineral white as the blacked out/white contrast is really nice. But then I wonder if I'll regret not getting an M Colour like Marina Bay Blue or the Isle of Man Green |

There is too much gloss black on the car imo, the blue above looks good, but I think that's because of the angle the black blends in. Think I'd get black for a bit more uniformity. Personally I think it looks alright from the front, but the back end is a monstrosity.

These huge, expensive electric SUV things all look like they have been 3D printed and designed by AI.
No wonder the classic car scene is getting more popular with the younger generations TBH. |
