I’m still blown away that I don’t need to suffer with brown wheels and daily cleaning any longer. I was literally, cleaning these wheels daily. Invested in a power washer system, brushes, drill mounted brushes, 4 or 5 cleaners…..all now rendered useless thanks to these new pads.

Now it’s a simply mist of spray detailer on the wheel, and wipe off with a microfiber. No soap and water needed.

Dang, sounds like I better just have the dealer install these pads on the car before I pick it up. I got to witness the dust on a used M2 they have in. What an ugly mess. I do not want / cannot deal with that. I don’t have the time.

Doubtful the dealer will install aftermarket parts IMO.

Mine were done by a local Scottsdale shop specializing in luxury/performance car work.
I use a pressure washer/foam cannon combination and the entire car (ceramic coated including wheels) is spotless in minutes.

Curious why people have chosen to go with iSweep1500 over 2000. As far as I understand the 2000 is better suited for "spirited driving." I'm assuming that means potential for more noise and dust however.

I asked the same questin another thread. The thing that stuck out is that there is more break dust (still less than OEM) than the 1500.

I wanted the least amount of dust possible. The amount of "spirited" driving I do or plan to do in my M2 is very minimal.

Dealer won't do it. Indy shop will charge you $150-300 depending on how quick they are.

I'm not a mechanic by any means, but I was able to do them in about an hour. SUPER easy install.

Has anyone tracked with these pads? Are they in any way worse than the stock pads? If not, then I would definitely purchase them to avoid brake dust and less squeaking.

Well I plan on doing a whole lot of spirited driving, and not on a track.

I installed the iSweep 1500 pads about 2 weeks ago. I have maybe 300 miles on them so they are not fully broken in, but I will admit the initial bite does not feel as good as the OEM pads. But, if I put the brakes in "sport" mode, that seems to make up for it.

As for the dust, it's noticeably better. I felt like if I pulled my car out of the garage I needed to clean my wheels with the OEM pads. Now the dust is barely noticeable.

Quantity 1. It comes with both fronts. You don't need the brake wear sensor. Just swap the current sensor to the new pads, it just clips on.

Not as much as a $65K car.

Thank you much!
Yeah man I'm buying all these tire cleaning products etc trying to find something that works lol. People are not exaggerating. I had them clean and not even 50 mile city driving they are back dirty. I had to rag clean by hand. Took a 60 mile trip and had to soap and pressure wash them 'clean' again.

I attempted to make my point gently.
I passed $65K halfway into the options list.

My pads were switched about a month ago after 5 months of brake dust hell. Don’t hesitate.

I guess it depends on the dealer. I spoke to my service writer today and he said we'll put anything on you like. Shop rate is $250 an hour. 🤓

Lol yup man I'm only under 45 days and I want to change. Crazy brake pads may be my first actual mod since purchase (If I don't get a mid pipe)

put new front pads on at like 50 miles, made it super easy since there wasn't any buildup. Looping a bungie cord through the caliper and attaching it to the spring so it hangs makes the job super easy

Back to this topic, when I changed the brakes on my F92 before I sold it, I found the rotors had lost over 3X as much material as the pads. So I stand by the assertion that most brake dust comes from the rotors. Pads can, of course, make a difference.

I don't think most break dust comes from the rotors. Unless they're really soft units & made from fairly week steal. Some cars go 60-70k + before the rotors ever need servicing / down to minimum thickness for replacement. But there's no way the pads will last that long (depending on how you drive). There's ton's more pad material loss there than ever is rotor material degradation.

He’s dug in, let him bloviate on.
I changed pads after 5 months. There is approximately 90% less dust with the iSweep 1500 than the OEM with SAME ROTORS.

So who do I believe, some wingnut’s opinion or my personal experience and lying eyes? No contest.
