It does, with the G42 the 2 series has grown into it’s clothes to look proportional. No more of that mom squeezed into her teenagers outfit like both the 1 and 2 series has suffered from to some degree with some parts just being to big to fit the design

If that render is even 50% correct, I 100% like the boxy inlets and horizontal slats more on the M2. My main (and almost only) gripe was the triangular vents on the M240i.
Can't wait for this to hit the BMWUSA configurator. |

If those renders are accurate then this M2 will be huge winner.
It looks like a Beauty queen next to M4! Negatives continue to be: - Ipad gauge screen - No DCT - Made In Mexico - Weight This is the only new BMW I’m excited to drive. |

You're focusing too much on the grilles alone. Look at the entire front bumper, tons of big air intakes protruding out the lower half and they are purposeful. I never bought into the excuse BMW gave that the huge grilles on the M3/4 were for cooling, that's such BS. The bumper on the M3/4 clearly goes right across those huge ugly grilles. They could have done something similar to the G87 and gave those cars purposeful openings for cooling. I for one am relieved the G87 didn't get huge grilles, they look stupid AF and serve no technical purpose. If it had them I would have written the car off no matter how good it was. I can't been seen in an aesthetic atrocity like that.

Rear does look better that the G42, but Casas still needs to be fired for those tail lights. At least the sides of the rear bumper cover go all the way down instead of that ridiculous up, down, upward angle black pattern taken from a Hyundai SUV.

That is one part of the car I didn't see so unfortunately I can't confirm that little detail. I will say however that I would be extremely surprised (and delighted at the same time) if there was an open vent on the front fenders.

Same. I'm pretty much past all the negatives as much as I've tried to resist. No DCT doesn't bother me since I'd get 6MT anyway. Still not 100% sold but now I can't wait for the reveal and to get behind the wheel

This is going to be an epic car without a doubt.
Us enthusiasts need to appreciate the internal combustion engine whilst we can, especially with a bit of ///M sauce. I'll take mine in manual + Brooklyn grey. Thanks!
