converting dual exhaust tips to quad (bastuck)

is it easy to do this? as in, will the tips align with the standard fitment of quad diffusers available?

i ask because there doesn't seem to be much room to add an elbow and piping before the tips to adjust their width, plus two more 90 degree bends can't be good for backpressure.

personally, i think a large (4") dual exhaust tip setup with m3 style spacing would look pretty cool (and less poser'ish than quad with m3 spacing), but i haven't come across any diffusers with cutouts for this
