Nice one mhh, perhaps the Mexico-Germany-Aus thing is not a thing. Whatever, mine allegedly is scheduled to be built Monday next week, no idea on delivery from there, I guess some of the early deliveries here will give us a good idea what to expect.

My G42 came direct from Mexico to Aus (besides standard port stops along the way). No trip to Germany inbetween, I tracked the ship all the way. I don't imagine the G87 would be any different.
My G87 has just gone to status 160 (build complete, on way to Mexican Port for export as I understand). Will be interesting to see what it says when it goes 165 but I'd be surprised to see any of these cars go via Germany. |

The best part is once they get to Aus they have to clear our incompetent border control. That's the biggest unknown concern from a timing perspective I have. The backlog at the port is also causing downstream impacts - the shipping companies themselves don't want to come to Aus and have their ships waiting around for weeks on end burning 100s of thousands of dollars simply because our gov organisations are run by incompetent looneys. |

Mexico to US then to Australia makes sense from the perspective of offloading some SLP cars in the US and loading Spartanburg X-series SUVs bound for New Zealand and Australia, via the Panama Canal.

My dealer confirmed that their demos are at the ports waiting clearance... The question is when. |
