Majority of March builds here in AU slipped to May. Mine was 26 Feb initially, slipped to May 8 and I'm #2 on the list at my dealer. I reckon it's either because of parts shortage or the recall that we had in January - I now forget what it was for.

Another reason it could be is because dealers are getting their demos in (1 Manual and 1 Auto - Feb production) so it's possible BMW gave dealers 3 cars as the initial allocation of which 2 are demos. I can support this by knowing for a fact that the person who is #1 with my dealer is getting his car in May and the demos are coming in then too, which would make up the allocation of 3 per dealer. The difference in AU is that the dealers aren't selling their demos (or atleast mine isn't).

Anyone seen this on road in Melbourne? Belongs to a customer or dealership? Guessing not a dealer with those Vic euro plates. Has to be one of the first on the roads here locally from the sounds of things here in the thread?

Production date is 02 Dec 2022 so it's a very early model... Registered here 03 March 2023 - must have arrived with the press fleet or potentially is one of the press cars.

50 year badge also telling.

I was originally scheduled for start of March production but slipped to now! I’m #1 on the dealers list but I am in Tassie so relatively small dealer. Think they have at least one other coming soon after mine but mine *should* be the first here !

That's brilliant - and we have the whole range of colours being ordered, except ZB maybe.

You have the TR, Lex and M div the BG, Alpine the AW and me the BSM.

ZB will get more love in the US, not sure about here though.

A question for everyone here. How are you financing the car?
1. Dollar bills (cash) only. This would make sense if it's feasible given interest rates.
2. BMW full circle
3. Other.... do tell

Yep but I've got the bi colour wheels, and wasn't able to find a video until yesterday with the bi colours.... black on black looks great in its own right but I love the bi colour contrast.

Will have to do a mix of cash and finance. Not sure how I’ll structure the finance though as not liking the rates at the moment, full circle may be interesting as I think I’ll put my name down for a potential CS in future. Will work it out closer to delivery!

Interestingly mine is status 165 for 26 days - transport from USA to Bremerhaven. So it goes via Germany it seems.

My G42 came straight from Mexico to Aus (the shop had a stopover in South America and NZ)
