changed out the clamps on my quad tips. for those wondering about the condition of these (i purchased from infinite autowerkes but im pretty sure theyre the same as the aliexpress ones) after a winter with salt and bla bla bla, theyre in pretty dang good condition. its garaged, so it doesnt see the harshest of weather however. i ceramic coated these with gyeon rim before i installed.

why does my left exhaust look like its sticking out way too much lol. ill have to check that out after lunch.

going to maybe install my bavsound ghost speakers this afternoon as well.

Just hoping these couple of things will mean they walk away to the next one, they just want easy targets not bothered with extra hassle usually, if it does that then ill be happy. My insurance has already doubled due to the car being desirable to thieves sont want it going up any more by being nicked if i can help it

However, by the time they find out you have ghost and ODB lock they will have either damaged the car getting into it or damage the car taking bits that don’t require starting the vehicle.

bit of damage is better than a missing car surely? And a cheaper insurance claim

Wheels are sweet; just can't do black wheels anymore. Had them on the last car and seemed to always be cleaning them!

installed the bavsound ghost speakers under the seats earlier today. havent done a complete listen but the minute or two i listened there was a little bit more fullness to the mids and bass. is it a $600 improvement? i dont think so. but i have to test it more than a couple minutes. definitely not as much of an improvement as those youtubers that probably got it for free make it out to be.

install was pretty smooth. judging when to stop screwing in the screws that attach the speaker to the floor was maybe the trickiest part because you can crack the plastic speaker cover or snap a screw by overtightening. or if youre like me, both. lol. inconsequential for now. hopefully ill never have to take my ghost speakers out again or the plastic cover wont rattle too much over time.

Interested in more feedback on this. I see that they claim to "double the bass in your BMW in about an hour".

Fast FC04 wheels?

What width and offset?

Why did you put thicker spacers on the front?

maybe theyre making all these statements based on the regular sound system and not the harmon kardon. it wasnt like a 'holy shit, dat bass!' moment for me. ill play around with it some more and give an update in a few weeks once its settled and broken in.

This was in an HK system?

What about this step where you have to use a heat gun and crack open a glued enclosure? Reading that gave me flashbacks of replacing iPhone screens.

i think on some other bimmers the woofer was glued on, but for the g42 they pop right out after you get all the screws undone.
