For one, if entry price is a concern the Onlins it's priced much lower. For the same price you can only purchase dampers only with JRZ RS1.

Both use the monotube technology and will generate damping forces very quickly when compare to oem or a twintube design, but still keep the feel very civilized. Ohlins features an inverted front strut for the most rigidity possible. As far as ride quality goes, you are not going to find a coilover system better than the Ohlins R&T.

The JRZ allows the user to purchase springs(any rates) as a complete package in a kit form or source their own brands and rates, which is majory plus if track performance is more of a concern. Ohlins will not allow substitutes and you must purchase other rate springs above the cost of the kit.

The JRZ RS1 and Ohlins Road & Track are really head to head here and will make the buying decision really tough.

Below you will find a typical front spring swap from Ohlins to Swift of a different rate. My customer simply wanted more springs and that is what we did for him.

Oh lins my god ! What a difference a day and a few bucks well invested makes ! I drove up from LA to SB to renew my suspension at HPA. First I have to give props to the shop. Wow. Three words : location, location, location. Very low key set back from street modern and clean salon and shop.
Amazing cars on display - envy !
The owners cars, the clients cars, and of course some of TC Klines personal and professional cars ! I felt I was in the right place right away ! Then the work began. I replaced front arms ( 4 pieces ) w oem m3 goods. Then Harold personally proceeded to carefully , meticulously install my new Ohlins coil over kit. Long story short - when it was all finished and was set free to drove it home down the 101 - words can't describe the feel if this complete transformation !!!
A thousand thanks to HPA and staff for all of the hard work on my old car ! I can't wait to head back up and do something else and enjoy another great day in beautiful downtown Santa Barbara ! Five stars.

Id like my BMW 335d to have Ohlins RT, M3 suspension bits, quaife limited slip. Sway bars and bushings. I drive daily but track 10x yearly for fun. Car has sport package and evolve tuning and will run track specific tires and brakes.

Please advise on spring rates.
