why does E91 holding value so well
hi all, I have been looking for a used E91 with the color combo and options that I want for a few years now. I finally came across the perfect one, 2011, and it has 7 months left in CPO warranty. Essentially all options except M-sport, with 70k miles on it. Dealer won't go below $24k. For that price I can get a E90 335 with less miles, or a F30 328 with less than 30k miles.
why are E91 holding the values so well? I keep seeing people here saying E91 should be <$20k now, is that only for cars with minimal options? I really like this car, but can't justify the price. What do you all think? Last edited by kplo; 12-11-2015 at 01:19 PM.. |

yes, I like the wagon style. I am picky about the color and options, so I know I have to be patient. What I don't understand is why the wagons are holding value so much better than the other body types? I am hoping to get a reality check here so I don't get ripped off and at the same time be realistic about my budget.

Wagons are hard to come by. People like them, but BMW didnt bring too many over here, so they sell quick, and people temd to hold on to them. I paid more than that for mine, but it only had 30,000 miles and was a 2012. I love having a wagon, even though 328 is the only option here in the states. I get lots of compliments from 335 guys who tell me they wish they got the wagon.
Good luck with your search, and wave if you see me on the streets of Cali. |

I was searching for a Manual but no matter as this auto is still fun. I had it CPO'd and extended the warranty to July 2017. I also put a tint on the windows as they were a bit stark. After the tally was done, I had it on the road from a dealership for just under CDN $24K (thats approx US$19K) I was satisfied with the price then and I am completely satisfied with the car now. The objective is that you be satisfied. The price can change day to day until you have one in your driveway. It is an exclusive club to belong to. |

E91's are sick and as mentioned already they are pretty rare here in California, so this is why dealers ask a premium for them. I sometimes also wish that I would've gotten an E91 instead of my E90!
