They are specable. Once the ordering guide is released then we can manually price them in the system as unlisted items. The system is now updated so all unlisted quotes/BOS can now be turned into the proper M2 quotes. I just rebuild my M2 deals properly in the system.

That was my understanding. I was just clumsy in my explaining. Thx for clarifying.

Does anyone know the expected Canadian build / delivery? Anyone know about the M Performance Exhaust and the availability of some of these M performance upgrades? It appears to be an entirely different setup for the exhaust which leads me to believe it can't be added after the fact like the F87. The F78 is coming off the lease in December. They had our deposit, and we gave them the details of what we wanted but I'm trying to figure out the timing of the M Performance Exhaust. .

The retail launch is april for the hea specs. I just check today and we do not have info yet for the m performance parts. The exhaust is almost the same as the m3. It was about $12000 just in parts since it is three pieces. The exhaust, diffuser and a filler trim piece between diffuser and tail pipes.

What ever you do, just buy back the F87 and sell it for a profit.

HEA specs are never customizable. BMW builds them and then tells us what we will get after they are built.

Not necessarily. The G87 will be $80k decently equipped. G82 can be had right now well under that. Now let's talk about a 3 year old g87 vs 5 year old g82 in terms of resale value and the g82 will be higher.
Ok let's say $77k. Can you buy a 22' slightly used m4 non comp for that? The answer is yes. Now let's look 3 years from that point. Which will be worth more and which is the higher spec? Ok you don't get idrive8 with a 22'. Doesn't bother me one bit.
You mustn't live in Canada. Low mileage G80 and G82s are selling for well over 110K used. Most are in the 120-130K range for comp and x-Drive.

The alternative is buying new, (If you can find an allocation) waiting 10-12 months, and possibly getting a slightly decontented car due to supply chain issues.

Secured 9th spot the dealer one city over. I am 4th at my local dealer.

My local dealer doesn't draft invoice and take deposit yet (done with the other dealer where I am 9th).

My dealership in Toronto is only giving me $500 discount I was told allocations are extremely tight should I keep shopping around? What are the chances of getting 2-3% off from this type of hot new model?

You're probably the first person here to have gotten a discount at all

The first dealer I went to told me 10k-15k CAD over MSRP. Got 2 spots at MSRP (one 9th w/ deposit, the other 4th w/o deposit). If you can get a discount on platform that will likely sell 100% allocation, take it.

0% chance. We would not even allow $500 at my dealership. We do not discount waitlisted cars.

Maybe at the end of next year with the direction world economies are going. Luxury cars might start sitting on lots again. With that said, you are not finding a 2-3% discount near launch. Take the $500 off.

I have a question to you as a BMW salesrep. Is there a specific code for custom ordering (like a three-digit code) that you are aware/can look up?

When I ordered my E90, I had to pay a one-time fee that opens up all kinds of customization with their application fees. Back in 2008 is was around 400 CAD. It allowed me to select a nonstandard paint (4,500 CAD), interior trim (Piano Black real wood 1,000 CAD) and adaptive headlight delete (no fee).

Just wondering if there is such a code. I know that nonstandard paint will likely not be available. However, I would like to explore other customizations like getting the top headlight w/o the ZPP (premium package). Headlights are 500 CAD and the brochure stipulates the required ZPP (3,100 CAD). I do not want any of the ZPP gizmos.

There is no code that i know of in Canada. You place a deposit and then we amend a allocation to your designed spec. Individual paint is $3900 or $4900 for frozen paint. Different trim options on the ordering guide can be $250-$1000. Headlights and all other package options are designed from the ordering guide. The only code would be 490 which means individual paint and then that paint would have another code. You will not be able to get the headlights without the package if it is not offered as a stand alone option. M240i has headlights as standalone option. M2 only has it in the package. Also M2 does not have individual paint because it is at Mexico factory
