Advice on Service in Balt/DC Area
OK, I admit that I bought my car from a dealer in Atlanta through European Delivery to get the best deal. Does anyone know a dealer in the area that will be happy to service my car AND provide me with a loaner? I know that a loaner is discretionary but am hoping I can get one as I live in Hagerstown so no dealer is very close. I either have to wait on the car or ask my wife to follow me to the dealer to bring me home or to work. A loaner would sure make it easier. Thanks.

you may have to call around. Russel gives out loaners but to get a BMW loaner, you need to have bought your car from them. they do give out POS loaners for everyone else.

Tischer gives out a free rental (pontiac vibe or such) even if you didn't buy from them.

I bought my car in NH and got a free loaner from Fairfax and Passport, but it was routine service. To avoid the problem of having the dealer say that they only do loaners for all day service issues, when you make your appointment over the phone tell them you want them to look at some other random issues you have been having with the car, then they will schedule it for longer and def. give you a rental.

I also recommend Towson BMW. Never had a problem getting a loaner from them, and I bought my car at Sterling BMW. Service people are very good. Only problem is the 100 mile limit per day and Hagerstown sounds far away.

I think I'll try Towson. I bought 2 MINI Coopers from them and my daughter lives in White Marsh so if I can't get a loaner, I'll borrow her car for the day. Thanks for all the suggestions.
